The Tribe Hemilophini (Lamiinae) is reviewed for Hispaniola and an identification key is provided. Fifteen species are now known from the island, including one new species of Adesmus (A. fortunei from Pedernales and La Vega Provinces, Dominican Republic), one new species of Oedudes (O. anulatus from Peravia and La Vega Provinces, Dominican Republic), and five new species of Calocosmus (C. contortus from San Cristóbal Province, C. punctatus from Peravia Province, C. rawlinsi from Elías Piña Province, C. robustus from La Vega Province, and C. thonalmus from La Altagracia Province, all in the Dominican Republic). Oedudes and Adesmus are new island and country records for Hispaniola and Dominican Republic, respectively. Calocosmus holosericeus Gahan is a new synonym of Calocosmus janus Bates. In addition to the new species, five new country records and four new island records are presented for Calocosmus.
Paragniopsis ochraceomaculata Breuning, 1965 and Paragniopsis Breuning, 1965 are confirmed to be junior synonyms of Agnioides striatopunctatus Breuning, 1956 and Agnioides Breuning, 1956 respectively after comparison of types; Monochamus fruhstorferi Breuning, 1964 is a new junior synonym of Annamanum lunulatum (Pic, 1934). Paranamera ankangensis Chiang, 1981 and Mimonemophas multimaculatus Xie & Wang, 2015 are transferred to the genus Anoplophora Hope, and the former is newly recorded from Hunan Province.
An article published by Gressitt (1941) has been ignored by all longicornists, including Gressitt himself. However, according to ICZN, it meets all criteria as an official publication, and this status affects three taxa that were formally described therein: Bacchisa (Bacchisa) rigida (Gressitt, 1941) = Chreonoma rigida Gressitt, 1941 = Chreonoma rigida Gressitt, 1942 homonym and syn. nov.; Tetraophthalmus sikang (Gressitt, 1941) = Chreonoma sikang Gressitt, 1941 = Chreonoma sikanga Gressitt, 1942, syn. nov.; Anastathes parva hainana Gressitt, 1941 = Anastathes parva hainana Gressitt, 1942, homonym and syn. nov.
Two new species of high-elevation Parandrinae (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) are described from Bolivia and Ecuador, South America. Both species are unusual in having piceous coloration over most of the dorsal surface. Parandra (Tavandra) santossilvai Lingafelter & Tishechkin, new species, is described from Achira, Santa Cruz Province, Bolivia, a site at 2,000 meters elevation. Acutandra caterinoi Lingafelter & Tishechkin, new species, is described from Pichincha Province, Ecuador, from sites between 1,900–2,500 meters. Illustrations, descriptions, diagnoses, and discussion of their generic and subgeneric placements are included.
Glenea diversenotata Schwarzer, 1925 is reinstated from a subspecies of G. tonkinea Aurivillius, 1925 to species level and G. neohumerosa Lin & Yang, 2011 is a new junior synonym. Some biological information on G. diversenotata is recorded for the first time, including pictures of the larva and pupa. G. quadriguttata Pic, 1926 is reinstated from a subspecies of G. lacteomaculata Schwarzer, 1925 to species level. Lectotypes for G. lacteomaculata and G. quadriguttata are designated. A modified key to the related species is presented.
