Prof. Mauro Mandrioli is an Associate Professor in Genetics at
the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). He is a member of the
Italian Genetics Association and a member of the Heritage Group of the Italian
Society of History of Science. He is member of the scientific council of the Ph.D. in Biodiversity in Italy (supported by the National Biodiversity Future Center). He is currently working with insects of
agricultural and medical interest with main attention to their symbionts, chromosomes and genomes.
