Valentín Pérez Herranz is Full Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de València since 2003. He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universitat de València Estudi General (1989) and a PhD in Chemistry from the Universitat Politècnica de València (1994). My research interests are energy and environmental applications of electrochemical technology.
My work in the field of ion exchange membranes and electrodialysis has contributed to the development of ceramic ion exchange membranes, to the understanding of the transport mechanisms of ions through membranes, and to the development of electrodialysis processes for the treatment of industrial wastewaters to recover resources and minimize the discharge of hazardous waste into the environment.
