André Seabra is a professor at the Faculty of Sport - University of Porto, and Director of the Portugal Football School - Portugal Football Federation. He has a Ph.D. in Sports Science, a Master's in High Performance Training and a Master's in Public Health. His lines of scientific research include motor development and epidemiology of physical activity. He was given an award by UEFA and the Government of Portugal (2013) for the development and implementation of an intervention program entitled “Football as novel therapeutic approach to prevent childhood obesity”. André has authored and co-authored more than 150 scientific papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals and has been an invited speaker in more than 200 lectures and conferences in Portugal and different countries.
