Giulia Chiaraluce (ORCID: 0000-0001-5085-8126) is a post-doc researcher at D3A-UNIVPM in the group of Agricultural, Food, and Rural Estimation Economics. She holds a degree in Food Science and Technology, with a thesis on edible insects. She holds a PhD in Food Economics and Policy, with a thesis on the adoption of the circular economy model in the agri-food supply chain. Her research interests include circular economy, innovation and digitalization in the agri-food supply chain (ICT, blockchain), and innovative and functional foods. She spent a period abroad in Japan to deepen her understanding of topics related to probiotic bacteria and a visiting research stint in Portugal to learn methodologies related to the consumer analysis of agri-food products. She is a member of the Italian Association of Agricultural Economists (SIDEA) and, in 2024, she obtained the national academic qualification of associate professor in 07/A1. She possesses in-depth knowledge regarding the technical, economic, and political aspects of the agri-food supply chain and transformation processes. The methods mainly include creating and using surveys, building mass balances, examining cash flows and economic indicators, conducting SWOT analysis, performing bibliometric analysis, analyzing case studies, and using statistical and econometric models.
