Dr. Patrícia Elaine de Almeida currently serves as a Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), Brazil. She earned her MSc and PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Institute (FIOCRUZ), Brazil. She carried out her first postdoctoral training at Oswaldo Cruz Institute (FIOCRUZ), Brazil in Immunopharmacology and her second postdoctoral from the University of Maryland in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics. Her areas of expertise and interest include innate immunity, infectious diseases, lipid metabolism, signaling pathways, membrane repair process and inflammation.
