Trung Q. Duong is a Chair Professor of Telecommunications at Queen's University Belfast (U.K.) an holds a prestigious Research Chair of Royal Academy of Engineering. His current research interests include wireless communications, machine learning, real-time optimization, and data analytics. He is the author or co-author of over 400 publications. Dr. Duong currently serves as an Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, and as an Executive Editor for IEEE Communications Letters. He has served as an Editor/Guest Editor for IEEE Transactions on Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Communications Magazines, IEEE Communications Letters, and IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications. He was awarded the Best Paper Award at the IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Spring) in 2013, IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) 2014, IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM) 2016 and 2019, IEEE Digital Signal Processing Conference (DSP) 2017, and International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC) 2019. He is the recipient of prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellowship (2015-2020) and has won a prestigious Newton Prize in 2017.
