Dr. Asim is an experienced social scientist holding a doctorate degree in Sociology. He has over eight years of programmatic experience in both urban and rural contexts. Asim has extensive experience of Social Determinant of Health and advocate addressing health indicators by SDOH. His Ph.D dissertation also focuses on addressing social determinants by community engagement to improve maternal and child nutrition indicators. Asim has published more than 20 research articles in national and international journals. He is proficient in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method research and teaching qualitative research methods to graduate students. Currently, he is working on three research grants as a Co-PI. His areas of interest include: human rights of marginalized communities, community engagement, and gender studies. He leads the community engagement program in Thatta district to improve the measures of maternal and child health outcomes in the community to improve SDOH.
