Biyang Wen was born in Xiantao, Hubei, China, in 1963. He received the B.E. degree in precision instrument from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 1983, and the M.S. in radio electronics and Ph.D. degree in space physics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1990 and 1997, respectively. Since 1990, he has been with the School of Electronic Information, Wuhan University, where he is currently a Professor. His research interests include radio wave propagation and remote sensing of the ocean surface via high-frequency ground wave radar and UHF radar.
