This study examines the formation of technology readiness among lower-income urban consumers and its influence on the acceptance of mpayment apps for digital money. Using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), we analysed 625 survey responses collected in four Colombian cities. We found that perceived usefulness is the main direct antecedent of intention to use, but gender differences were observed. For women, two hypotheses were not significant: TR's influence over perceived ease of use and perceived ease of use over the intention to use, leaving a more straightforward but narrow pathway for influencing intention to use. Men presented a more comprehensive range of pathways, with all hypotheses significant. This is an important finding because women from lower-income households are the main target of government financial inclusion strategies. Innovatively, we evaluated the technology readiness construct in an aggregated way, isolating the importance of each dimension. We found optimism to be more relevant, which indicates that the users are less insecure about technology, akin to the Rogerian concept of innovators. Therefore, managers should develop market penetration strategies based on optimism rather than security conditions and develop app attributes that are link to perceived ease of use before focusing on usefulness.

Given the current economic contribution of tourism to the Chinese and Spanish national economies, tourism innovation in these two countries becomes a vehicle for improving tourism competitiveness and sustainability. This article presents a comparative analysis of the relevance, recent growth and particularities of tourism and innovation in China and Spain, with the objective of identifying the tourism innovation needs of each country. Innovation research on tourism is also reviewed as a means to a better understanding of tourism innovation activities in each country. This review of the academic literature further examines the levels of analysis, the research topics and the major conclusions. In light of their findings, the authors then offer recommendations on how to enhance the tourism innovation performance and improve research on tourism innovation in China and Spain.

Nowadays, companies are absorbed in changing, competitive and globalised markets, which necessitates further investigation about processes and tools that prepare executives to take on those challenges. In the organisational field where it is required to enhance skills and attitudes for achieving certain objectives, coaching becomes relevant as companies are becoming more conscientious about the best way to sustain their employees over time. This is achieved through the investment in processes and accompanying programmes that include training and knowledge transfer. The objective is to achieve better results that would influence the financial and non-financial performance of the organisation. Considering that managerial coaching lacks empirical evidence for the results in executives and therefore in organisations, the present research analyses the influence of this concept on performance and its effectiveness, proving how coaching processes are fundamental tools not only for managers in human resources, but for all professionals working in leadership roles and meeting goals within organisations.
