Prof. Dr. Benedito Barraviera is a full professor of Infectious Diseases at Botucatu Medical School, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil. He earned his M.D. from Botucatu Medical School in 1977 and completed his M.Sc. (1984) and Ph.D. (1986) in Internal Medicine at UNESP. He has extensive experience in toxinology, tropical medicine, clinical research, and scientific publishing, focusing primarily on infectious and parasitic diseases, toxinology (including envenomations by venomous animals), and clinical research (particularly clinical trials).
