Aim: To detect pathological brain conditions early is a core procedure for patients so as to have enough time for treatment. Traditional manual detection is either cumbersome, or expensive, or time-consuming. We aim to offer a system that can automatically identify pathological brain images in this paper. Method: We propose a novel image feature, viz., Fractional Fourier Entropy (FRFE), which is based on the combination of Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) and Shannon entropy. Afterwards, the Welch’s t-test (WTT) and Mahalanobis distance (MD) were harnessed to select distinguishing features. Finally, we introduced an advanced classifier: twin support vector machine (TSVM). Results: A 10 × K-fold stratified cross validation test showed that this proposed “FRFE + WTT + TSVM” yielded an accuracy of 100.00%, 100.00%, and 99.57% on datasets that contained 66, 160, and 255 brain images, respectively. Conclusions: The proposed “FRFE + WTT + TSVM” method is superior to 20 state-of-the-art methods.

The selection of fresh product suppliers is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem with great significant and application value. This requires trade-offs between multiple criteria to prove its ambiguity and uncertainty. Therefore, a novel two-stage fuzzy integrated MCDM method to select suitable suppliers is employed. In the first stage, two collective relationship matrixes are constructed by quality function development (QFD), and relationships among customer requirements (CRs), company strategies (CSs) as well as selection criteria are considered separately in the two matrixes. Subjective criteria weights are obtained by fuzzy best-worst method (BWM) appropriately. In the second stage, the objective criteria weights are obtained using Shannon’s entropy method, and the fuzzy multi-objective optimization by ratio analysis plus the full multiplicative form (MULTIMOORA) is applied to rank suppliers. Finally, an application case is applied to prove the feasibility of the proposed method. These conclusions can help companies improve their CSs and increase their market competitiveness.

In a closed-loop supply chain for electronic products, the manufacturer’s priority is to enhance the residual value of the collected end-of-use product and decide whether to outsource this business to a retailer, a third-party service, or retain it exclusively. In this paper, we constructed three models to study the decision mechanism in a closed-loop supply chain, with different players selected to collect the used product. By comparing the three models, we characterized the conditions under which the manufacturer will benefit most, and we then aimed to determine the best choice for the manufacturer. Our findings show that, when the retailer and the third-party service provider provide equal performance in collecting the used product, the manufacturer will give priority to the third-party service provider if they choose to outsource this business. If the reverse flows managed by the retailer result in a higher payoff for the manufacturer, then the manufacturer will choose to outsource this business to the retailer who will also benefit.

Against the background of continuously rising energy carbon emissions, accelerated energy transformation in developed countries, and increased international attention to energy security, there is still a large amount of energy consumption in the manufacturing industry. Promoting the diffusion of green supply-chain management is becoming a powerful tool to support energy transformation and energy conservation and emission reduction in the manufacturing industry. Based on this, we first conducted a scientific metrological analysis of 4960 articles in relevant fields in the Web of Science database, presenting the research status of green supply-chain management diffusion in the context of energy transformation. Second, we identified factors that affect the implementation of green supply-chain management, and analyzed the diffusion path of green supply-chain management among enterprises. Finally, based on the energy situation, enterprise operation, and implementation of environmental protection laws and regulations in Shaanxi Province, China, we determined the current situation, obstacles, and development direction of green supply-chain management diffusion of enterprises in the context of energy transformation. The research found that: at this stage, there are still some deficiencies in the research on the mechanism of green supply-chain management in the internal communication of enterprises; in the future, the diffusion of green supply-chain management can be further developed around social performance and energy transformation technology; and we can help energy transformation by strengthening policy guidance and assisting enterprise reform.

With increased environmental protection awareness, sustainability has been incorporated into supply chain management. Sustainable supplier selection and evaluation have become an acritical part of supply chain management. They can significantly improve the supply chain’s operational performance and enhance enterprises’ competitiveness. Based on trapezoidal interval type-2 fuzzy numbers (TIT2FNs) and cloud probability dominance relations (PDR), manufacturers can make more tangible and environmentally friendly decisions in the SSSE process. In this paper, a SSSE indicator system is first established using the necessary economic, environmental, and social factors. The importance of the indicators described in linguistic terms is transformed into TIT2FNs, and the weight of each indicator is calculated. In order to prevent candidate suppliers from promoting performance maliciously, different weights are given according to the impact of the enterprise’s historical performance on the present. Finally, the cloud PDR method is used to determine the optimal sustainable supplier. A case study and analysis are provided to show the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method.

The aim of this paper is to provide a method for selecting a green supplier in a dynamic environment, while considering the psychological behavior and the time factors of the decision maker from the manufacturer’s perspective. The supply selection method that is based on the Third Generation Prospect Theory (PT3) is proposed and an optimal ordinal number is obtained. First, the green supplier selection index system is established. Then, the indicators that are given by the manufacturer are used as reference points, and the income and loss matrices are established by calculating the gains and losses of the index values in the interval number relative to the reference points. Next, considering the time factor and calculating the variable weight based on the Gray correlation coefficient method and the time weight of the penalty mechanism method, the suppliers are chosen based on the comprehensive prospect value. Finally, the validity and the feasibility of the method are proven through a case analysis.
