Hans De Loof serves as an Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Physiopharmacology at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. He completed his PhD training at AZ Sint-Jan in Bruges between 1984 and 1987 and then furthered his research as a Postdoctoral Fellow, first at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1988 to 1990, and later at Karolinska Institutet from 1990 to 1992. In 1992, he embarked on a career as a community pharmacist, running his own pharmacy until 2017. During this time, he also held a position at the University of Antwerp, starting in 2007. Dr. De Loof’s research interests span across pharmacotherapy, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical care, medication review, lipid metabolism, and the social determinants of health.
