Biography

Materials Scientist at ICMATE-CNR (Padova) specializing in the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured inorganic thin films. My work focuses on advanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) techniques—including MOCVD, ALD, and PECVD—to develop functional surfaces for photovoltaic, photocatalytic, protective, biomedical, and self-cleaning applications. My technical competence includes comprehensive materials characterization via SEM-EDX, AFM, XRD, FT-IR, and UV-VIS spectroscopy, as well as contact angle measurement and profilometry. My research also focuses on evaluating the environmental sustainability of materials and processes through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). I specialize in the analysis of emerging technologies and lab-scale processes, quantifying environmental impacts during the R&D phase to ensure that advanced materials and functional surfaces are optimized for industrial upscaling and circular economy principles. I hold a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering (Materials Engineering) and a Master’s degree in Science and Technology of Materials (110/110 cum laude).
