Dr Saber Amin Yavari is an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthopedics, University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) and Principal Investigator at the Regenerative Medicine Center Utrecht. He received his Ph.D. in Biomechanical Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2014. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. Since 2015 and after joining UMC Utrecht, his research mainly focused on the development of multifunctional coatings to solve orthopedic implant challenges such as implant-associated infection and limited osseointegration.
