Michail (Mike) Klontzas is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the School of Medicine of the University of Crete (Greece). He is collaborating researcher with Karolinska Institutet (CLINTEC). He serves as section editor of the European Journal of Radiology, he is a member of the trainee editorial board of "Radiology: Artificial Intelligence” (RSNA) and has served in the trainee editorial board of RadioGraphics (RSNA). Dr Klontzas is a member of the ESR eHealth and Informatics Subcommittee, member of the ESR Research Committee, member of the EIBIR Future Strategy Task Force, secretary of the Scientific Committee of EuSoMII and member of the board of the Radiology Trainee Forum of the European Society of Radiology. He has published more than 90 PubMed-indexed articles, six book chapters for international publishers and is editing the book “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” published by Springer under the auspices of EuSoMII. Dr Klontzas is also a member of the CLAIM guidelines (RSNA) steering committee for the 2024 update. He also serves as a series editor for the “Imaging informatics for healthcare professionals” of Springer International. His clinical expertise focuses on diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology, US- and CT-guided interventions for musculoskeletal disease and oncological imaging.
