Brenda Robles, Ph.D., M.P.H. is the Chief Research Analyst of Nutrition and Health Programs for the Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention in the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Dr. Robles’s work and research interests have translational research and public health practice; chronic disease interventions; policy, systems, environmental change interventions; nutrition and other lifestyle interventions; mental health delivery; health marketing; food policies; school menu planning; and the evaluation of complementary and alternative medicine practices. She has led the translational research of several federally-funded, multi-million dollar policy, system, and environmental change interventions aimed at reducing chronic disease risk in Los Angeles County. Dr. Robles is passionate about practice-based research and working to improve health equity across diverse communities.
