She achieved a Ph.D. in Physics in 2007 and a PhD in Medicine in 2020. Her current research interests include the study of biomolecular interactions in solutions and with solid surfaces (metal, alloys, carbon-based) for the optimization of the surfaces for biosensors and prosthetics materials, the tuning of surface properties to interact specifically with a target biomolecular system, and the development of label-free (nano)biosensors as reliable detection tools for the detection of biologically active substances and toxins.
