Nuno Vale is a Principal Investigator at the Center for Health Technology and Services Research (CINTESIS), where he is Group Leader of PerMed, and an Invited Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), as well as holding the Invited Chair of Innovation in Oncology and Director of the SPARK Program in Digital Health and Biomedical Innovation positions at FMUP. He has a degree and a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) and specializes in pharmaceutical and peptide chemistry and molecular pharmacology for personalized medicine. In research, he coordinates projects focused on various pathologies, including oncology, the central nervous system, and infectiology, in collaboration with several institutions and companies in the pharmaceutical and clinical fields. He has published more than 260 scientific articles. His main field of interest is personalized medicine through his studies in PBPK pharmacological simulation, drug reuse, synergistic drug combinations, neurotransmitters, clinical trials, peptides applied to pharmacological medicine, and new biomarkers for translational medicine.
