Prof. Sérgio Cruz

Sérgio M. A. Cruz (Senior Member, IEEE) received a Diploma and M.Sc. and Dr.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal, in 1994, 1999, and 2004, respectively. He works in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Coimbra, where he is currently an Associate Professor with Habilitation and the Director of the Electric Machines Laboratory. His teaching and research interests include power transformers, rotating electric machines, electric drives, and power electronic converters, with special emphasis on fault diagnosis, fault tolerance, and digital control.
