Prof. Kuan-Chen Cheng currently serves as a professor at the Institute of Food Science and Technology, National Taiwan University. Before he returned to Taiwan, Prof. Kuan-Chen Cheng was offered the position of research associate in the Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Arizona, where he also conducted research for the National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bioproducts (NAABB). He has worked at National Taiwan University since August 2019. In addition, he is now an active member of the Taiwan Association for Food Science and Technology, the Agricultural Chemical Society of Taiwan, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE), the Taiwan Association for Food Protection, IFT, and the honor societies Gamma Sigma Delta (agricultural) and Alpha Epsilon (agricultural, food, and biological engineering). Prof. Kuan-Chen Cheng's research interests include food biotechnology, fermentation, biomedical materials, cosmeceuticals, and gut microflora.
