Dr. St Patrick Reid is an associate professor at the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, College of Medicine, University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his MSc studies in Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia (2002) and PhD studies in Microbiology at the Mount Sinai School of Biological Sciences, NY (2007). In 2004, he received the Recipient of Annual Graduate School Service Award. In 2015, he joined the International Society for Antiviral Research. His research areas include the Molecular Virology of novel functions of proteins encoded by highly pathogenic viruses and elucidating the host-pathogen interactions of emerging highly pathogenic viruses including Ebola, Chikungunya, and Zika.
