Yazmín Karina Márquez Flores is a professor at the National School of Biological Sciences of the National Polytechnic Institute (ENCB-IPN) and the Technological University of Mexico (UNITEC) (since 2007 and 2013, respectively). She has a degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2005) and a Master's and PhD in Chemobiological Sciences from the same University (2008 and 2012, respectively). She completed a postdoctoral stay at the University of Seville (2014). Her research focuses on the preclinical pharmacological and toxicological evaluation of synthetic therapeutic alternatives of natural origin and functional foods as potential anti-inflammatories.
