Prof. Dr. Zhaoshi Xu is a researcher at the Institute of Crop Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Before that, he worked at this institute as an Associate Researcher from 2009 to 2015
and as a research associate from 2005 to 2009. From April to October 2015, he went to the University of Georgia as a visiting scholar. He received a PhD from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences from 2002 to 2005. In addition, he has led many scientific research projects, such as the analysis of the salt tolerance signaling pathway mediated by wheat bispecific protein kinase TPK1 and screening of excellent salt tolerance allele variants, analysis of the function and mode of action of ERF transcription factors related to wheat stress resistance and mechanism analysis of wheat PPR protein in the ERF-mediated signaling network. He mainly engages in research on the molecular regulation mechanism of wheat drought resistance and wheat drought resistance molecular breeding, analyzes the signal transmission mechanism of wheat drought resistance, and provides a theoretical basis for wheat drought resistance breeding.
