Dr. Adriana Umana Perez

I am a Chemist, PhD graduated from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. I currently act as Associate professor / Head of the GIH research group at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. In my research career I have done stays at the Karolinska Institute and the University of Stockholm in Sweden; the National Institute of Health of the United States; and Instituto Oswaldo Cruz in Brazil. My research interest has been focused on understanding the biochemical mechanisms and the molecular bases of the malignant transformation of cells and identifying the participation of growth factors in this process.
