Full Professor of Physics at Faculdade de Tecnologia de Sao Paulo (since 1992), director of the same Institution for 11 years (2006-2017), with 30 years of research and teaching experience, leading pioneering research in glass photonics, optoelectronics and plasmonics, conducting the research of Brazilian Students on the development of novel nanocomposites for different technological applications as photonic systems for integrated optics, solid-state laser and photovoltaic devices. OSA Senior Member, Brazilian Physical Society, Brazilian Society of Photonics, and Brazilian Materials Research Society, referee for financial Brazilian agencies and reviewer of international journals; she published several articles in international refereed journals and invited book chapters, edited books, and participates at the National Institute of Photonics supported by CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development).
