Prof. Franz Wolfgang Hirsch is Director of the Institute of Pediatric Radiology, University Hospital, Leipzig, Germany. Since 2016, he has been an editorial board member of the journal “Pediatric Radiology” and has been a member of the board of the European Society of Paediatric Radiology since 2017. He trained as a pediatrician in 1991 at University Hospital Halle, 1999–2002, as a senior physician at the University Radiology Clinic Halle, and then as the Professor in Radiology of Children Radiology University Hospital Leipzig. In 2009–2012, he was appointed as Chairman of the working group on pediatric radiology. His current research interests include lung MR and real-time MR in pediatric radiology.
