Dr. Dongyun Shi received her B.S. in chemistry and M.S. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Fudan University in 1991 and 2002, respectively. She obtained her Ph.D. degree at Kings College, University of London, in 2007. She is currently a professor and principal investigator at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. She has been serving as a committee member of Chinese Free Radical Biology and Medicine and an associate deputy director of the Shanghai Free Radical Biology and Medicine Committee. Her current research interests focus on the relationship between redox regulation and metabolic diseases, including diabetes and cancer.
