Dayan Adionel Guimarães received an MSc and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), Brazil, in 1998 and 2003, respectively. He is a Researcher and Senior Lecturer at the National Institute of Telecommunications (Inatel), Brazil. His research interests are the general aspects of fixed and mobile wireless communications, specifically radio propagation, digital transmission, spectrum sensing for dynamic spectrum access, and convex optimization and signal processing applied to telecommunications.
