Rémy B. Teponno is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Dschang. He obtained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/Natural Products Chemistry in 2009 from the University of Dschang (UDs). He has been honored with several prestigious fellowships, including the TWAS-DFG fellowship in 2012, the Matsumae fellowship in 2014, and the Humboldt fellowship in 2015, 2017, and 2018. In addition, he was the recipient of the TWAS-Atta-Ur-Rhaman Prize in 2017. Rémy is currently serving as the Deputy Scientific Coordinator of the Graduate School of Health and Life Sciences (UDs) and the Deputy Head of the Research Unit Biomedicine and Drugs Development (UDs). His area of research focus is on the identification and study of bioactive secondary metabolites from medicinal plants and microorganisms.
