Dr. Shaonong Dang is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Health Statistics, School of Public Health, Xi’an Jiao Tong University. He earned his Master’s degree in Epidemiology from the Xi’an Jiao Tong University Medical School and a PhD in Public Nutrition from the Graduate School of Nutrition at The University of Tokushima in 2005, and served as a Visiting Scholar at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from 2010 to 2011. He was a PI or main participant in more than ten scientific research projects from the National Natural Science Fund, National Science and Technology support key projects, the United Nations Children’s Fund, and the China Medical Board, the United States, and grants at the provincial level and medical industry. He won the first prize of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Award (ranked second) in 2009. He has authored more than 100 scientific articles in specialized journals. His research interests include Nutritional epidemiology, Maternal and child nutrition and health care, Public health evaluation, Clinical trials, and Data processing and analyses in the medical field.
