Sung-Yul Kim received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2007 and 2012, respectively. From 2012 to 2013, he was a Research Assistant with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA. Since 2013, he has been with the Department of Energy Engineering, Keimyung University, Daegu, South Korea. His main research interests include computer-aided optimization, renewable energy sources applied to smartgrids, and power system reliability.
