Aim The attitudes and behaviours of nursing staff are critical to determine patients’ satisfaction and to have a competitive advantage for any healthcare organization. This study is set to investigate the effects of internal service quality (ISQ) on nurses’ job satisfaction, employee commitment, well‐being and job performance in the healthcare sector of Pakistan. Further, this study also examines the mediating role of nurses’ well‐being for the relationship of job satisfaction and commitment with their job performance. Methods This was a cross‐sectional quantitative research. A self‐administered survey was used to collect data from 412 nursing employees of 20 private sector healthcare centres operating in Pakistan. Partial least square of structural equation model (PLS‐SEM) and structural equation modelling (SEM) were employed through Smart PLS 3.2.8 for data analysis. Results Study results revealed that ISQ directly effects employees’ satisfaction, commitment, well‐being of the nursing employees. Moreover, employees’ well‐being has mediated job satisfaction and job performance relationship; however, well‐being did not mediate the relationship between commitment and job performance.

This article aims to investigate how workplace ostracism acts as a motive behind customer service sabotage. We examine the role of stress as a meditating variable along with the moderation of perceived organizational support (POS) on the said association by using conservation of resources and equity theory. A total of 217 nurses from hospitals of the southern Punjab region in Pakistan participated in the study. Data were collected through survey and structured questionnaires. SPSS and AMOS were used to analyze data with the latest techniques of bootstrapping and process macros. The results showed that stress mediated between the association of workplace ostracism and service sabotage behavior. POS was confirmed as a moderator between this relationship. POS buffered the harmful effects of ostracism and stress on customer service, as POS demonstrates to personnel that they are cherished and respected by the organization. This lessens the strength of perceived stress due to workplace ostracism. Organizational leadership should take advantage of the stress-alleviating effect of POS, which is important in producing adequate levels of work performance.

Prior research has consistently established the pragmatic nature of literature regarding occupational injuries and accidental happenings faced by nursing professionals. However, current realities require a subjective approach to identify preventative measures that could influence occupational health and safety in healthcare sectors. A qualitative design followed a descriptive approach to assess unbiased opinions towards occupational obstructions that lead to accidental happenings. This study used the social capital framework in particular as a support resource to eliminate its detrimental effects on nurse's capacity to serve their patients. The findings extended the fundamental understanding of social capital from social ties to workplace and personal ties as potential mechanisms of support. Healthcare organizations need to redefine their control policies to provide the ultimate support to their care agents. A social capital model offers nursing practitioners and nursing managers an approach for building evidence‐based policies with implications for nurse's safety, education and training.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of three dimensions of Blog service innovation (system operation, social technology & diversification) on website viewers' online loyalty through the intervening effect of two aspects of online relationship quality (trust & satisfaction) in the context of social media and blogging websites. A sample of 251 social media and blogging sites users responded to a structured questionnaire adapted from existing literature. First, confirmatory factor analysis was carried out, and then data were analysed through structural equation modelling using the bootstrap methodology in AMOS 24. The findings indicated that two innovations (system operations & diversification) indirectly affect the website viewers' online loyalty through both Trust and Satisfaction. In contrast, Social Technology related innovation affects website viewers' online loyalty only through Trust. Further, none of those mentioned above innovations has a direct relationship with the website viewers' online loyalty. This paper explains the loyalty pattern of social media and blogging website users following the changes in services provided by organizations in their websites, which is explicitly mediated through online relationship quality factors. From a managerial perspective, the study does only provides the vital information on user's behaviour in relationship to the innovations in services introduced by organizations in their websites but also reveals that it can help them to minimize their cost and maximize their profits through value creation to the target audience. This paper is first of its kind to investigate the relationship between different dimensions of blog service innovations and website viewers' online loyalty mediated through two dimensions of online relationship quality. Although different studies focused on the enhancement of online loyalty factors through trust and satisfaction, no study was afforded to the blog service innovation perspective which includes innovations related to System operations, Social technology and Diversification especially in the context of social media and blogging website users. Keywords service innovation, social media, blogging, online relationship quality, trust, satisfaction, online loyalty, e-loyalty.

The present study examined the direct and indirect (via relational social capital) relationships between supervisors’ ethical leadership and knowledge hiding. It also tested the moderating role of instrumental thinking in the relationship between supervisors’ ethical leadership and knowledge hiding and the relationship between supervisors’ ethical leadership and relational social capital. Data were collected from 245 employees in different firms spanning different manufacturing and service sectors. The results showed that supervisors’ ethical leadership was negatively related to knowledge hiding, both directly and via relational social capital. The results revealed that instrumental thinking moderated the positive relationship between supervisors’ ethical leadership and relational social capital, such that the relationship was weak when instrumental thinking was high. The results also showed that instrumental thinking moderated both direct and indirect relationships between supervisors’ ethical leadership and knowledge hiding, such that the relationships were weak when instrumental thinking was high. The study carries important practical implications for managers concerned about the destructive consequences of knowledge hiding.

Background: Nursing has a reputation for being a predominantly stressful profession. Prior studies focus on the overt antecedents of stress like bullying, harassment, and verbal aggression from patients as well as colleagues. Employee stress has been receiving attention for decades, yet there is a research gap on the role of workplace ostracism as an antecedent of stress for nurses. This study aimed to consider the effect of workplace ostracism on the perceived stress of nurses while considering the moderating role of perceived organizational support. Methods: This study is quantitative. A time-lagged survey was conducted in private and public hospitals of Pakistan. Data were collected from 241 nurses. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software and analysis of a moment structures (AMOS) software were employed for data analysis, such as bootstrapping analysis, Sobel test, and regression analysis. Results: Results demonstrated that workplace ostracism is positively associated with stress, while perceived organizational support has a moderating relationship. Perceived organizational support mitigates the adverse effects of workplace ostracism on nurses. Conclusion: This study contributes significantly to nursing literature by identifying workplace ostracism as one of the significant antecedents of stress for nurses. Perceived organizational support shows that employees are cared for and appreciated by the organization, which lessens the strength of perceived stress due to workplace ostracism.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an emerging and fast-growing concept for both academic research and organizations. In recent years, the far-reaching influence of CSR practices on stakeholders has made both researchers and practitioners pay heed to this dimension. Employees are one of the most important stakeholders influenced by CSR practices. CSR brings in many ideas, concepts, and techniques. In the past, different antecedents and consequences of corporate social responsibility have been studied, but there is still a deficit in regard to whether employee creative performance is an outcome of corporate social responsibility, and the interlinked variables that might enhance this relationship. The main objective of this study is to examine how CSR practices enhance employee performances within the organization, and which other variables may enhance this relationship. The literature suggests that employees who value CSR campaigns and other practices identify with their company to a greater degree, work with more devotion and loyalty, and show more creativity in their work performance. In this study, organizational identification has been taken as the mediator, and creative self-efficacy has been taken as the moderator. The hypotheses were tested within the sample of companies engaging in CSR practices in Pakistan. A questionnaire survey was conducted using simple random sampling. Simple linear regression, hierarchical regression, and Barron and Kenny tests were applied through SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) for data analysis, and results were found according to the proposed model of the study.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a model that can explain the determinants of e-government in Pakistan. This paper develops an integrated model by using Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and initial trust and outlines the factors corroborating the adoption of e-government services in Pakistan. Two paths multiple regressions were used on a sample of 400 university students. The analysis shows that performance expectancy, social influence and initial trust positively influence the behaviour intention to use e-government services. Trust of the internet and trust of the government are found to significantly predict initial trust on e-government services. The integrative model is of value for e-government decision makers to induce citizens to adopt e-services of government in developing countries like Pakistan. To date, this is the first research that has been conducted to analyse factors which determine the adoption of e-government in Pakistan.

Are trust and satisfaction important in consumers' electronic commerce acceptance procedure? What are the antecedents of trust and satisfaction in this context? How do trust and satisfaction affect the Internet consumer's purchasing decision? To answer these questions, we develop a theoretical framework describing the trust-satisfaction based decision-making process a consumer uses when making a purchase from the internet, testing the proposed model using a correlation matrix and multiple regression technique on the Internet consumer purchasing behavior data collected from 450 respondents via questionnaire and considering the limitations of the model. The results of the study show that the Internet consumers' trust and satisfaction have strong impacts on their purchasing decisions. Security, privacy, and fulfillment/reliability have strong effects on the Internet consumers' trust and satisfaction from e-purchasing. Interestingly, disposition to trust, non-deception and third party seal did not strongly influence consumers' trust and satisfaction in ecommerce acceptance.
