Dr. George D. Verros was born in 1965 in Thessaloniki, Greece. He graduated from the Chem. Eng. Dep., Polytechnic School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in 1989, following his family tradition in Chemistry and Engineering. He gained a Ph.D. in polymer reaction engineering in 1995 from the same department. His primary interests are in the area of polymer science and technology, with an emphasis on process simulation, and include polymer reaction engineering, membrane and coating formation, and applications of non-equilibrium thermodynamics in polymer science. He is the author or co-author of forty publications in scientific journals and he also acts as a reviewer for several journals. He is an independent researcher.
