Prof. Dr. Mansour El-Matbouli is a Fish Health Professor, and was the Head of the Clinical Division of Fish Medicine (currently the Division of Fish Health) at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria. He holds membership in the German Zoological Society, the German Society for Parasitology, the European Association of Fish Pathologists, and the American Fisheries Society. His research team is focusing on emerging and re-emerging fish diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, parasites, and fungi. They are developing novel approaches to investigate the interactions between pathogens and their hosts on cellular, organismal and molecular levels.
