I hold a Ph.D. in Public Health from the Institute of Collective Health at the Federal University of Bahia, specializing in Epidemiology. I also have a Master's in Computer Science, with a solid foundation in data mining, and a degree in Computer Networks Technology. Since 2008, I've taken on the role of ensuring information security and managing databases for the Leptospirosis and Dengue research group at the Pathology and Molecular Biology Laboratory of the Gonçalo Moniz Institute - FIOCRUZ-BA. Additionally, since 2009, I've been overseeing the Biorepository for this research group, leading teams in database management and the processing of biological samples. My involvement extends to the research group studying the association of the Zika virus with congenital malformations in newborns since 2015. I coordinate a research project focused on Zika congenital syndrome, actively monitoring children born at the maternity ward of the Hospital Geral Roberto Santos, whose mothers were pregnant during the outbreak. With over 15 years of experience in data management and a strong grasp of the REDCap platform, I was invited in March 2020 to join a task force of researchers from FIOCRUZ-BA. My responsibility lies in managing information on the institution's Diagnostic Platform, implementing systems, conducting data analyses, and creating dashboards for data monitoring and decision-making during the ongoing pandemic.
