Poznyak Sergey, PhD, is a leading researcher in the laboratory of thin film chemistry at the Research Institute for Physical Chemical Problems of the Belarusian State University (RI PCP BSU). He received his PhD in physical chemistry in 1986 from the Belarusian State University. His research interests are focused on the electro- and photoelectrochemistry of metals and semiconductors; development of sensing and corrosion preventive materials based on the controlled release of active species encapsulated in polymeric or inorganic micro- and nanocapsules; synthesis and investigation of 2D nanomaterials (graphene, Mxenes, etc.); nanostructured TiO2/hydroxyapatite coatings for biological applications; development of ultrablack coatings for optical devices; and nanostructured semiconductor/noble metal systems for electrocatalysis.
Total number of papers in refereed journals and issues: 144; number of WOS citations: 2950+; Hirsch index from WOS: 24. He has presented more than 200 oral and poster presentations at scientific conferences.
