I am Siwon Yoon, an Assistant Professor at Jeonbuk National University and the principal investigator of the Smart Farm Energy Solution Laboratory. Before joining academia, I worked as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Research and POSCO. I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from KAIST (Rep. of Korea)and my M.S. and B.S. degrees from Yonsei University (Rep. of Korea). My research lies at the intersection of thermal-fluid engineering, energy systems, and controlled-environment agriculture. I focus on greenhouse multiphysics simulation, CFD, smart-farm energy system analysis, renewable-energy integration, and lighting-environment optimization. My mission is to develop practical, low-carbon energy solutions that make smart farms more efficient, resilient, and sustainable, while helping young researchers grow into independent problem-solvers.
