Dr. P.G. Papageorgas received his B.Sc. degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and his PhD degree in Physics from NKUA in 1995. He was a researcher at NKUA from 1985 up to 2002. From 2002, he was with the Department of Electronics Engineering, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (PUAS), and in 2018, he joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the University of West Attica, where he is currently a professor. He is the author or co-author of several publications in scientific international journals and conference proceedings in areas such as remote sensing, instrumentation, embedded systems, and wireless sensor networks for IoT applications, as well as for Smart Grid and Smart Agriculture applications (1488 citations, h=21, excluding self-citations, SCOPUS 9/7/2026). He is a scientific coordinator or a member of the research team in 23 research projects funded by the EU, national authorities, and companies.
