Research - based on lichen growth: stone circles in England, environmental change in Snowdonia, Scotland and beach ridge formation in northern Sweden. And using dendrochronology to assess rates of change in Poland, Patagonia, Peru, Kazakhstan, Colorado, Mongolia and reforestation in Madagascar. Fellow of the Linnean Society of London and the Royal Geographical Society.
