Currently chief research scientist at the Norwegian Computing Center (Norsk Regnesentral - NR). Received his B.Sc., M.Sc and Ph.D. from the University of Oslo in Computer Science. Received his Engineering Diploma from Gjøvik University College in Electronic Data Processing. Has many years of experience in computing, both as practitioner and researcher, including many years’ experience in building large consortia and leading technical R&D work, both in industry-driven and multinational projects. Has a solid and extensive background in the design and development of real-time systems for controlling and monitoring distributed and complex environments, and adaptive security (protocols, requirements, policy, privacy, trust, risk management, DRM, etc.) in distributed systems. Specialties: New project ideas, and many years of experience in computing, both as practitioner and researcher, including many years’ experience in building large consortia and leading technical R&D work.
