Dr. Hazem Abdelsalam received his PhD degree in 2016 from University of Picardy Jules Verne, France and University of Ain Shams, Egypt. He is currently a post-doctor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Yancheng Institute of Technology, China. His work focuses on studying the electronic, magnetic, optical, adsorption and catalytic properties of two-dimensional quantum dots, nanoribbons, and membranes using density functional theory. He has had more than fifty full-length research articles published in international journals (such as Physical Review B, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, ACS applied nanomaterials). The publication of several articles in international journals has provided him with a strong ability to enhance the physical properties of two-dimensional materials to meet the requirements of different applications, including electronics, spintronics, solar cells, catalysts, water treatment, and gas sensors.
