Dr. Maria Margarita Canales-Martinez

Dr. Maria Margarita Canales-Martinez is a professor responsible for the Pharmacognosy Laboratory at the Iztacala Superior School of Higher Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In 1987, she completed her degree in Biology from the Iztacala Superior School of Higher Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From then until today, she has been a professor with the Faculty of Biology. In 2001, she graduated with an MSc degree in Plant Resources, and in 2005, she obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences, both from the Iztacala Superior Studies School of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Dr. Maria Margarita Canales-Martinez is a member of the National System of Researchers in Mexico. In the last five years, she has presented 50 papers at international conferences and has published 24 articles in impact factor journals and three chapters in specialized books.
