Alberto Tagliaferro received an M.Sc. in Nuclear Engineering and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Polytechnic University of Turin. He is an Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT), Polytechnic University of Turin, as well as an Adjunct Professor at OntariotechU and the Head of the Carbon Group. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and he is the Chair of the Education Committee of the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique, and Applications (IUVSTA).
