Prof. Aldo Roberto Boccaccini is the Professor of Biomaterials and Head of the Institute of Biomaterials at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. Before this appointment, he was the Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Imperial College London, UK (2000-2009). He has remained a Visiting Professor of Materials at Imperial College London. He is also a Visiting Professor at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Argentina). He holds an MEng degree from Instituto Balseiro (Argentina), a PhD (Dr-Ing.) from RWTH Aachen University (Germany), and a Habilitation from Ilmenau University of Technology (Germany). He has been a member of the organizing committees of numerous international conferences and is the founder of the International Conferences Series on Electrophoretic Deposition.
