Jun-Dong Cho received a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 1993. He received the best paper award at the Design Automation Conference in Texas, USA in 1993. He held visiting scholarships at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and the North University of China. He has been an IEEE senior member since 1996. He founded the Department of Human ICT Convergence at Sungkyunkwan University in September 2013. He has published about 400 papers. He currently holds several faculty positions at Sungkyunkwan University in Korea, including Chair of the Deptartment of Human ICT Convergence, and Adjunct Professor at the Department of Digital Healthcare and Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences & Technology. He is a special issue editor at Electronics: Multi-sensory Interaction. His current research topics include design analytics, embodied cognition, and smart care UX for disability.
