With the wide application of IoT technologies in the power sector, power IoT faces serious security challenges, which can be severely affected by malicious attacks and unauthorised access. Meanwhile, devices in power IoT are usually resource-constrained and deployed in a decentralised manner, making them vulnerable to physical attacks. Therefore, a robust and reliable lightweight authentication scheme needs to be constructed to guarantee its information security. A lightweight authentication scheme for the power IoT based on Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) and Chebyshev chaotic map is proposed in this paper, which achieves two-way authentication and session key negotiation between gateways and terminal devices. Comparing with traditional authentication schemes, the PUF and Chebyshev chaotic map used in this scheme have high security and lower resource overhead. PUF is used to generate Challenge and Response Pairs (CRPs) for two-way authentication and key negotiation without storing any secret information about authentication in the device memory. At the same time, Chebyshev chaotic map is used to protect the transmission of secret information such as CRPs in insecure channels. The solution is therefore resistant to attacks such as physical, machine learning modelling and impersonation, ensuring the information security of the authentication process. The proposed scheme is analyzed and verified using the formal verification tool ProVerif and improved BAN logic along with informal methods. The verification results show that the scheme satisfies 12 security properties such as two-way authentication and user anonymity. Comparative analysis with existing related authentication schemes shows that the proposed scheme has low computation and communication costs while guaranteeing security, thus rendering it suitable for resource-constrained terminal devices in the power IoT.

The cooperative triple-phase-shifted modulation (CTPS) for the isolated dual-active bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter has the advantages of zero dual-DC side flow back currents and best current characteristics. However, the mathematical model and corresponding closed-loop control configuration of the DAB converter driven by CTPS are not presented so far. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, the average state space model of the DAB converter driven by CTPS is established for the first time. It is proven that the DAB converter driven by CTPS is a zero-order system and it is not necessary to construct an inner inductor current closed-loop control loop in the entire closed-loop control configuration of DAB converter. Furthermore, the average power model is derived. Two control strategies based on the resulted average power model when the DAB converter is connected to DC microgrid or a pure resistive load are proposed to realize the precise control of the transfer power or the output voltage, respectively. The detailed experimental results verify the correctness of the established mathematical model and the closed-loop control strategies.

To address the complexities, inflexibility, and security concerns in traditional data sharing models of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), we propose a blockchain-based data sharing and privacy protection (BBDSPP) scheme for IIoT. Initially, we characterize and assign values to attributes, and employ a weighted threshold secret sharing scheme to refine the data sharing approach. This enables flexible combinations of permissions, ensuring the adaptability of data sharing. Subsequently, based on non-interactive zero-knowledge proof technology, we design a lightweight identity proof protocol using attribute values. This protocol pre-verifies the identity of data accessors, ensuring that only legitimate terminal members can access data within the system, while also protecting the privacy of the members. Finally, we utilize the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) to store encrypted shared resources, effectively addressing the issue of low storage efficiency in traditional blockchain systems. Theoretical analysis and testing of the computational overhead of our scheme demonstrate that, while ensuring performance, our scheme has the smallest total computational load compared to the other five schemes. Experimental results indicate that our scheme effectively addresses the shortcomings of existing solutions in areas such as identity authentication, privacy protection, and flexible combination of permissions, demonstrating a good performance and strong feasibility.

This study presents a novel algorithm for protocol reverse analysis of EtherCAT. The algorithm combines sequence alignment and the Pearson correlation coefficient. We utilize value distribution statistics and the bit flip rate algorithm to effectively partition the protocol fields. We propose a semantics analysis method based on sequence alignment when HMI data and EtherCAT messages have a direct correlation. Conversely, for circumstances where there exists a decoding relationship between HMI data and EtherCAT messages, a semantic analysis method is proposed that employs the Pearson correlation coefficient. We completed a reverse analysis of the EtherCAT messages from an industrial robot system. By comparing the experiment results with the protocol description document, we validated the effectiveness of the method.
