Marius MURARIU is Doctor & Chemical Engineer in the "Technology of Polymers" from the Technical University of lasi receiving his doctorate degree in 1999 with the distinction “Magna Cum Laude” for his contributions in the field of engineering polymers based on PA 6.
Marius was engaged early in applied research, managing R&D projects, mostly connected to the field of engineering polymers. From 1990, he was confirmed as the Principal III Scientific Researcher and Scientific Manager at ICEFS Savinesti (Romania), while in 2002, he was invited as a Guest Researcher at NIST (USA), a possibility to work in the field of nanotechnology.
From September 2003, Marius has worked at Materia Nova R&D Center & University of Mons, Belgium, being involved as a Project Manager and as a Senior Researcher in INTERREG/FEDER and industrial R&D projects.
Marius emphasizes a broad theoretical and practical background in the formulation, processing, and product development of biopolymers (such as PLA) and of engineering polymer (nano)composites designed with special end-use properties.
With extensive inventive experience, Marius has contributed to more than 20 patents and 9 technologies in the field of engineering polymers and has over 300 contributions as research papers, chapters of books, scientific communications, and publications.
Marius is following the collaboration with Materia Nova R&D Center & University of Mons with the status of Senior Researcher.
