Dr. Phatcharida Jantaree is a Scientific Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. She received her master’s degree at the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute in 2016 and completed her PhD studies in Natural Sciences (Molecular Biology) at the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg in 2023. Her research focuses on conducting functional genetic and epigenetic studies to gain valuable insights into the implications of rare genetic variants in neurological function and associated diseases. The primary objective is to shed light on the underlying mechanisms of neurological disorders linked to these rare genetic variants, ultimately paving the way for the development of targeted therapeutic interventions. In addition, her research endeavors encompass the establishment of novel disease-specific models through stem cell research, including the utilization of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), organoids, 3D in vitro models, and organ-on-chip models.
