Prof. Jianhe Wei is the deputy director of the Institute of Medicinal Plants of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, director of the Hainan branch, director of the Key Research Office for Sustainable Utilization of Agarwood of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and director of the Hainan Provincial Key Laboratory of Southern Medicine Resource Protection and Development. Professor Wei is an expert who enjoys special subsidies from the State Council. He has focused on major innovative research on the regeneration technology of rare and endangered medicinal materials and the breeding of new varieties of high-quality medicinal materials for many years. He has won 2 second prizes for the National Science and Technology Progress Awards and 7 special awards for the Hainan Provincial Science and Technology Awards. He edited the monograph “Chinese Southern Medicine Introduction and Cultivation”.
